Michael Jordan’s highest-scoring NBA Finals game was a 55-point performance against the Phoenix Suns in Game 4 of the 1993 Finals. He helped the Chicago Bulls win 111–105 on June 16, 1993.
Jordan shot 21 of 37 from the field and made 13 of 18 free throws, scoring 55 points without relying on modern high-volume three-point shooting. He made only one three-point attempt, reflecting how much of his offense came from pull-up jumpers, drives, post-ups, and free throws.
The game gave Chicago a 3–1 series lead. The Bulls eventually won the championship in six games, completing their first three-peat. Jordan averaged 41.0 points per game in that Finals, still one of the most extraordinary scoring marks in championship-series history.
The 55-point total is sometimes confused with Jordan’s other famous playoff outbursts. He also scored 63 against Boston in 1986, 56 against Miami in 1992, and 55 against the New York Knicks in his 1995 comeback, but none came in the NBA Finals.
