What US certification had Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl received by November 2025?
Answer
Five-times platinum
Taylor Swift’s The Life of a Showgirl had received a five-times platinum certification in the United States by November 2025.
The certification reflected the album’s exceptionally large opening week. It debuted at number one on the Billboard 200 with more than four million album-equivalent units, combining pure sales and streaming activity.
The Recording Industry Association of America awards platinum certifications according to qualifying unit thresholds. Album-equivalent units can include traditional album purchases, digital album sales, and streams converted under industry rules.
The album’s certification is distinct from its chart position and sales records. A number-one debut describes ranking, while a platinum award measures accumulated qualifying consumption under certification standards.
