What U.S. anniversary is scheduled for 2076, after America250’s 2026 celebration?

The United States Tricentennial is the U.S. anniversary scheduled for 2076, following America250’s 2026 celebration.

A tricentennial marks 300 years. The 2076 observance will come 300 years after the Declaration of Independence was adopted in 1776 and 50 years after the 250th anniversary commemorated by America250.

The anniversary names are based on the number of years being marked. The 100th anniversary in 1876 was the Centennial, the 150th in 1926 was the Sesquicentennial, the 200th in 1976 was the Bicentennial, and the 250th in 2026 is the Semiquincentennial.

The 2076 milestone is often described simply as the United States’ 300th anniversary or Tricentennial. It should not be confused with the 2076 date of America250 itself: America250 refers specifically to the 250th anniversary in 2026.
