“Rein Me In” debuted at number 86 on the UK Singles Chart. That modest opening position was only the beginning of an unusually long and successful chart journey for Sam Fender and Olivia Dean’s collaboration.
The song climbed sharply in its second week, reaching number six. It then remained a persistent presence on the UK chart, benefiting from streaming, radio exposure and sustained public interest in the duet. Its slow-burn performance eventually carried it to number one in February 2026.
The track’s UK chart story is sometimes confused with its later peak or with its original appearance on Fender’s album People Watching. The chart debut refers to the first weekly position recorded for the single version, not the number it reached after gaining momentum. It also differs from the song’s U.S. Billboard Hot 100 peak of number 64.
