What track number is Taylor Swift’s "august" on Folklore?

Taylor Swift’s “august” is track 8 on Folklore.

The placement creates a memorable numerical link: “august” is the eighth track on Swift’s eighth studio album. Folklore contains 16 songs in its standard edition, so the track sits exactly halfway through the main sequence.

The song’s position is separate from its release date and its annual August trend. Fans often point out the matching eighth-album and eighth-track numbers, but the song was released on July 24 rather than in August.

Track listings can vary on expanded or special editions, so the answer refers to the standard Folklore album sequence. The song remains widely identified as Folklore’s eighth track.
