Blanche is the Team Mystic leader in Pokémon GO who researches why Pokémon evolve.
Pokémon GO divides players into three teams: Team Mystic, Team Valor, and Team Instinct. Blanche leads Team Mystic, whose associated color is blue and whose mascot is Articuno. Blanche is portrayed as analytical, calm, and strongly focused on scientific investigation, fitting the team’s emphasis on wisdom and careful reasoning.
The evolution research reference comes from Blanche’s introduction and recurring game dialogue. Pokémon evolution is a central mechanic in Pokémon GO: players collect Candy from catching, transferring, walking with, and otherwise interacting with Pokémon, then spend that Candy to evolve eligible species. Some evolutions also require items, special lures, trades, or other conditions.
