What team hired Frank Reich as their head coach?

The Indianapolis Colts hired Frank Reich as their head coach in 2018.

The Colts announced Reich’s hiring on February 11, 2018, after he had served as offensive coordinator for the Philadelphia Eagles. Philadelphia went on to win Super Bowl LII that season, but Reich had already accepted the Indianapolis job before the championship game was played.

Reich had a prior connection to the Colts. He worked for the organization as a coaching intern and later as an offensive assistant, quarterbacks coach and wide receivers coach from 2006 through 2011. His return brought him back to the franchise where he had begun his NFL coaching career.

Reich coached Indianapolis from 2018 through part of the 2022 season. He led the team to two playoff appearances, including a 2018 postseason run, before being dismissed after the Colts opened the 2022 season 3–5–1. He later became head coach of the Carolina Panthers.
