Seth Curry signed with the Portland Trail Blazers for the 2018–19 NBA season.

Curry agreed to a two-year contract with Portland in July 2018 after missing the previous season because of a stress reaction in his left tibia. The deal included a player option for the second year and gave the Trail Blazers a proven perimeter shooter to add to their backcourt.

He had previously established himself with the Sacramento Kings and Dallas Mavericks, particularly during the 2016–17 season in Dallas, when he averaged 12.8 points per game and shot 42.5% from three-point range. His outside shooting made him a useful bench scorer, even though he was not generally a primary ball-handler.

In Portland’s 2018–19 campaign, Curry appeared in 74 games and averaged 7.9 points, 1.6 rebounds, and 18.9 minutes per game. The Trail Blazers reached the Western Conference Finals that season. Curry later returned to Dallas, signing with the Mavericks after his single season in Portland. He is the younger brother of Golden State star Stephen Curry.
