What team did DeMarcus Cousins go to for the 2018-19 season?
Answer
Warriors
Answer
Warriors
DeMarcus Cousins joined the Golden State Warriors for the 2018–19 NBA season.
Cousins signed with Golden State as a free agent in July 2018 while recovering from a ruptured left Achilles tendon suffered late in the previous season with the New Orleans Pelicans. The move was one of the summer’s biggest surprises because it added a four-time All-Star center to a team that had already won consecutive championships.
His injury delayed his Warriors debut until January 18, 2019, when he scored 14 points against the Los Angeles Clippers. He played 30 regular-season games for Golden State, averaging 16.3 points, 8.2 rebounds, and 3.6 assists per game. He also appeared during the Warriors’ playoff run.
The Warriors reached the 2019 NBA Finals, but lost the series to the Toronto Raptors. Cousins left Golden State after that season and later played for the Los Angeles Lakers and other teams. “Warriors” is the accepted short form of the team’s full name, Golden State Warriors.
