What street address does Gregory House use as his home in House M.D.?

Gregory House's home address in House M.D. is 221B Baker Street.

The address is a direct reference to Sherlock Holmes, who famously lives at 221B Baker Street in Arthur Conan Doyle's stories. House is modeled in part on Holmes: both characters rely on observation and deduction, use unconventional methods, and maintain a close friendship with a more compassionate companion. James Wilson fills a role analogous to Dr. Watson.

In the television series, the address is presented as House's apartment in Princeton, New Jersey, even though Baker Street is associated with London. The geographic mismatch is intentional and functions as an easter egg for viewers familiar with Holmes.

The address is sometimes mistakenly reported as 221A Baker Street because both variants appear in popular fiction and adaptations. House's canonical television address is 221B, matching Holmes's best-known address.
