What school did Saquon Barkley play for prior to be drafted in the NFL?
Answer
Penn State
Answer
Penn State
Before being drafted into the NFL, Saquon Barkley played college football for Penn State. The Pennsylvania native joined the Nittany Lions in 2015 and became one of college football’s most explosive running backs.
Barkley played three seasons at Penn State, from 2015 through 2017. In 38 college games, he rushed for 3,843 yards and 43 touchdowns, while also contributing as a receiver and kickoff returner. His versatility made him a major national star and helped him finish fourth in the 2017 Heisman Trophy voting.
He declared for the 2018 NFL Draft after his junior season. The New York Giants selected him second overall, making him the first running back chosen in that draft. A common mix-up is confusing his college team with his high school, Whitehall High School in Pennsylvania. Penn State was his college program immediately before entering the NFL.
