What religious denomination most commonly gives a quinceañera ceremony a formal Mass setting?

The story behind the answer

Catholicism most commonly gives a quinceañera ceremony a formal Mass setting.

Many quinceañeras begin with a Catholic Mass or another church service in which the celebrant is presented and the family gives thanks. The religious service can include prayers, Scripture readings, blessings, and participation by parents, sponsors, and the court.

The custom reflects the strong historical and demographic influence of Roman Catholicism in much of Latin America and among many Latino communities in the United States. A church service is not required for every quinceañera, however.

Some families hold only a reception, while others use a non-Catholic service or a secular ceremony. The party and the religious observance are related traditions, but they are not the same event.
