What production code is listed for the episode "Soda"?

The production code for the episode “Soda” is XCBV5001.

“Soda” is the first episode of The Bear’s fifth and final season, so its code begins the season’s XCBV5000 sequence. It premiered on June 25, 2026, when all eight episodes were released together on FX on Hulu. The code is an industry production identifier, not part of the episode’s title or story.

The opening episode follows the morning after Carmy announces his retirement from the food industry. A major storm, flooding, broken plumbing, depleted supplies and financial trouble threaten the restaurant before service can even begin. Carmy also asks Sydney to keep his resignation secret temporarily and places her in charge of the kitchen.

The most likely confusion is with XCBV5002, which belongs to “Lamb,” the second episode. The codes then continue sequentially through XCBV5008 for the finale, “The Original Beef of Chicagoland.”
