What plant can eat zombies whole?

The plant that can eat zombies whole is Chomper. When a zombie enters its short range, Chomper bites down and swallows it, removing that zombie from the lawn.

Chomper is an offensive plant with a distinctive trade-off: its attack is powerful, but it must spend time chewing before it can attack again. During that recovery period, Chomper is vulnerable to other zombies. This makes placement important, since a Chomper near the front of a crowded lane can be overwhelmed while it is still digesting.

The name Venus Flytrap is a common wrong answer because the real plant catches insects, but it is not the playable plant name in the original game. Tangle Kelp also removes zombies by pulling one underwater in pool lanes, while Toadstool in Plants vs. Zombies 2 can consume zombies, but it is a different plant from the original Chomper. In the first game, Chomper is the canonical answer.
