Telegram Premium offers a maximum file upload size of 4 GB. This is twice the standard 2 GB limit available to users without Premium, allowing subscribers to send especially large videos, archives, and documents.
The 4 GB figure describes the size of an individual uploaded file, not a user's total cloud-storage allowance. Telegram continues to advertise cloud storage as effectively unlimited for messages and media, although devices may cache downloaded content locally. Premium also removes Telegram-side download speed limits, subject to a user's connection and hardware.
A common mix-up is confusing the upload limit with download access. Non-Premium users can still download a 4 GB file when a Premium subscriber uploads it; the subscription changes who can upload files of that size, not who can receive them. The limit is also separate from Telegram's message, group, and channel limits.
