“House’s Head” is the House M.D. episode featuring Gregory House surviving a bus crash.
The episode is the first part of a two-part story from season four. After the accident, House experiences severe memory problems and tries to reconstruct what happened before the crash. He believes another passenger may be critically ill, so the missing memories become essential to identifying and helping that person.
The story uses a fractured structure to portray House’s altered perception and investigation. Its continuation is “Wilson’s Heart,” which resolves the medical and emotional consequences of the crash. Together, the episodes are among the most notable season-four installments.
The title is sometimes confused with “Help Me,” the season-six finale involving a collapsed building, or “Broken,” the season-six premiere. Those episodes also involve major crises for House, but the bus-crash storyline begins with “House’s Head.”
