The House M.D. episode in which House wakes after a bus crash with amnesia is “House’s Head.”
It is the first part of a two-part sixth-season finale from season four. House wakes after being involved in a bus accident but cannot remember the events leading up to it. He believes an important clue is hidden in his missing memories and tries to reconstruct what happened.
The episode uses an investigation structure in which House questions witnesses, revisits fragmented recollections, and struggles with the effects of injury and substance use. Its conclusion leads directly into “Wilson’s Heart,” which completes the story and reveals the medical emergency involving Amber Volakis.
The two titles are easy to mix up because they form one continuous narrative. “House’s Head” concerns House’s search through his damaged memory; “Wilson’s Heart” is the following episode and focuses more directly on Wilson and Amber.
