What is the title of the 2014 sequel to How to Train Your Dragon?

The 2014 sequel to How to Train Your Dragon is titled How to Train Your Dragon 2.

The film was written and directed by Dean DeBlois and continues Hiccup and Toothless’s story five years after the events of the original. Hiccup is older and explores areas beyond Berk while discovering a hidden dragon sanctuary and learning that Valka is his long-lost mother.

How to Train Your Dragon 2 expands the world of the first film with new dragons, riders, locations, and conflicts. It also introduces Drago Bludvist as a major threat and presents the Bewilderbeast as an alpha dragon.

The title is straightforward, but it is sometimes confused with The Hidden World, which is the title of the third and final film in the original trilogy. The sequel’s official title does not include a subtitle.
