What is the title of Street Fighter V's free cinematic story mode?

The story behind the answer

Street Fighter V’s free cinematic story mode is titled A Shadow Falls. It was Capcom’s large single-player narrative expansion, designed to fill in the game’s central conflict between the World Warriors and Shadaloo.

Capcom announced the mode in January 2016 and released it as a free update on July 1, 2016. Rather than being a conventional arcade ladder, A Shadow Falls presents a connected campaign with cinematic scenes, character switching, and battles tied to the plot. It follows the heroes’ efforts to stop M. Bison and Shadaloo’s plan to use the Black Moons and Psycho Power.

The title can be confused with Street Fighter V: Arcade Edition, which is a later game edition containing gameplay and roster updates, or World Tour, the customizable adventure mode in Street Fighter 6. A Shadow Falls is specifically the name of Street Fighter V’s general cinematic story campaign.

Street Fighter V also includes separate Character Stories, which focus on individual fighters. Those shorter episodes are distinct from the free, overarching A Shadow Falls campaign.
