Alien: Covenant
Answer
Alien: Covenant
Ridley Scott's 2017 sequel to Prometheus is titled Alien: Covenant.
The film follows the crew of the colony ship USCSS Covenant as they travel toward Origae-6 carrying thousands of colonists and human embryos in cryogenic storage. After receiving a mysterious transmission, the crew investigates a seemingly habitable planet and becomes entangled with the Engineers, the black pathogen, and the android David.
Alien: Covenant continues Prometheus's exploration of creation and artificial intelligence while moving closer to the creature-focused horror of the original Alien. Michael Fassbender returns as David and also plays Walter, another android model. Katherine Waterston plays terraforming specialist Daniels, the film's central human survivor.
The movie was initially announced under other working titles, including Alien: Paradise Lost, before 20th Century Fox revealed the final title. It premiered in London on May 4, 2017, and received its United States theatrical release on May 19. Alien: Resurrection is part of the older Alien continuity and is not the Prometheus sequel.
