God of War Ragnarök was released on November 9, 2022.

The game was developed by Santa Monica Studio and published by Sony Interactive Entertainment. It launched for PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5, continuing the story of Kratos and Atreus after the events of God of War (2018).

The title refers to Ragnarök, the catastrophic series of events in Norse mythology associated with the deaths of major gods and the destruction and renewal of the world. In the game, Fimbulwinter serves as a major sign that the conflict is approaching.
