What is the only planet with a mass greater than all other planets combined?

The story behind the answer

Jupiter is the only planet with a mass greater than all the other planets combined.

Jupiter’s mass is about 318 times Earth’s, while all seven other planets together total roughly 132.5 Earth masses. That makes Jupiter more massive than the rest of the planetary system combined, despite being made mostly of light hydrogen and helium.

The comparison is about mass, not size. Saturn is the second-largest planet by diameter, but Jupiter is substantially more massive. Jupiter also contains more than twice the mass of all the other planets combined, a useful way to remember the scale of the difference.

Jupiter’s enormous gravity helped shape the Solar System, influencing asteroids, comets, and the orbits of nearby moons. It is a gas giant with no solid surface like Earth’s, although it likely has a dense core beneath its deep atmosphere.
