What is the Norse name of the realm inhabited by dwarves in God of War Ragnarök?

The story behind the answer

Svartalfheim is the Norse realm inhabited by dwarves in God of War Ragnarök.

The realm contains important locations such as Nidavellir, the home of the dwarves, and the mining areas surrounding it. Kratos and Atreus visit Svartalfheim during their search for Tyr, the Norse god of war whom they believe may help them prepare for Ragnarök.

Svartalfheim’s design emphasizes water, mines, machinery, wetlands, and dwarf engineering. Its puzzles often use tools and mechanisms created by the Huldra brothers, Brok and Sindri.

Players commonly confuse Svartalfheim with Alfheim, the realm associated with elves, or Vanaheim, the homeland of the Vanir gods. Jötunheim is the realm of the giants and has a different role in the story of Kratos and Atreus.
