What is the name of the winged horse born from Medusa's blood?

The story behind the answer

The winged horse born from Medusa's blood is Pegasus.

In Greek mythology, Pegasus and his brother Chrysaor sprang from Medusa's body after the hero Perseus decapitated her. Ancient accounts differ on the exact mechanism: some say they emerged directly from the blood flowing from her severed neck, while others connect their birth with Earth, sea foam, and Poseidon. Pegasus was therefore not an ordinary horse with added wings; he was a miraculous being whose origins linked him to both a Gorgon and a sea god.

Pegasus later became associated with the hero Bellerophon, who captured and tamed him with divine help. Together they defeated the fire-breathing Chimera. Bellerophon eventually tried to ride Pegasus to Mount Olympus, but fell when Zeus—or, in some versions, a divine gadfly—caused the horse to throw him. Pegasus continued upward and was ultimately placed among the stars as the constellation Pegasus. He is also connected with Hippocrene, a spring on Mount Helicon said to have been created by his hoof.
