What is the name of the vocalist for the band Lamb of God?
Answer
Randy Blythe
Answer
Randy Blythe
The vocalist for the band Lamb of God is Randy Blythe.
Blythe joined the group in 1995, when it was still called Burn the Priest. The Richmond, Virginia, band adopted the Lamb of God name in 2000, shortly before releasing New American Gospel, its first album under that name. Blythe became known for his intense screamed vocals and forceful stage presence.
Lamb of God helped define the new wave of American heavy metal, blending groove metal, metalcore, and thrash influences. Blythe is also a lyricist and has contributed guest vocals to recordings by artists including Gojira, Overkill, and Soulfly.
A common mix-up is confusing Blythe with other prominent metal vocalists such as David Draiman of Disturbed, Corey Taylor of Slipknot and Stone Sour, or Phil Anselmo of Pantera. Blythe’s full name is David Randall Blythe, but Randy Blythe is the professional name by which he is known.
