What is the name of the technologically advanced rival racer in Pixar’s Cars 3?

Jackson Storm is the technologically advanced rival racer in Pixar’s Cars 3.

Storm represents a new generation of racers built around advanced design, data analysis, intensive training, and high speed. His dominance makes Lightning McQueen question whether experience can overcome the advantages of newer racing technology.

Armie Hammer provides Storm’s English voice. The character’s dark blue-and-black appearance contrasts with McQueen’s red design, and his confident personality makes him the principal racing antagonist of the film.

Jackson Storm is different from Chick Hicks, McQueen’s main rival in the original Cars. Chick is an older-style Piston Cup competitor who races under number 86, while Storm belongs to the newer generation introduced in Cars 3. Storm’s arrival drives the movie’s central conflict about competition and changing eras.
