The talking piggy bank in Pixar’s Toy Story films is named Hamm.
Hamm is a pink pig-shaped money box who lives in Andy’s room with Woody, Buzz and the other toys. He is known for his dry humor, quick observations and knowledge of trivia, making him one of the group’s recurring comic characters.
Unlike many of Andy’s toys, Hamm is not a character from a traditional toy adventure line. He is a household object designed to store coins, and the films turn that ordinary function into part of his personality. His cork-like stopper and round body are visual reminders of his piggy-bank design.
Hamm is sometimes mistakenly called “Hammy” because of his pig-like appearance, but the canonical character name is simply Hamm. He appears across the main Toy Story films and also features in related Pixar shorts and games.
