What is the name of the Pringles mascot?

The story behind the answer

The Pringles mascot is named Julius Pringles.

Julius Pringles is the stylized mustached face shown above the Pringles wordmark. He has a rounded head, prominent black mustache, arched eyebrows, and a bow tie. The character was created to give the stackable potato-chip brand a memorable personality and to make its packaging easy to recognize.

Pringles debuted in the United States in 1968. The product was originally developed by Procter & Gamble and was later sold to Kellogg’s in 2012. The mascot’s appearance has changed subtly over time, including updates to the eyes, eyebrows, and line work, but the mustache and bow tie remain central features.

Julius Pringles is often incorrectly called “Mr. Pringle” in casual conversation. The official character name is Julius Pringles. He is also different from Mr. Peanut, the monocled mascot of Planters, despite both being long-running packaged-food brand characters.
