What is the name of the PGA Tour’s developmental tour? It is the Korn Ferry Tour.

The Korn Ferry Tour is the principal developmental circuit for the U.S.-based PGA Tour. It gives professional golfers a route toward the sport’s top level, including players who have not yet reached the PGA Tour and players trying to regain status after dropping from it.

The tour was formalized by the PGA Tour in 1990 as the Ben Hogan Tour. It later carried the names Nike Tour, Buy.com Tour, Nationwide Tour, and Web.com Tour before becoming the Korn Ferry Tour in 2019. Those changes reflect title sponsorship, not a change in its role within professional golf.

Its importance is competitive as well as developmental. Tour performance determines access to PGA Tour membership, while exceptional players can earn rapid promotion.
