Zuma is the PAW Patrol pup who specializes in underwater rescues.
Zuma is an orange Labrador Retriever and the team’s aquatic rescue specialist. He operates watercraft and uses scuba equipment during missions involving lakes, rivers, oceans, and other bodies of water. His pup tag and gear support the team’s broader emergency-response work.
Zuma is often mixed up with Rocky, whose role centers on recycling and repairs, or with Rubble, the English Bulldog responsible for construction work. Those pups may assist on water-related missions, but underwater rescue is Zuma’s defining specialty.
The television series introduces the pups as a coordinated rescue team, with each member contributing a distinct skill set. Zuma’s marine role complements the land, air, medical, and mountain-rescue specialties represented by the other pups.
