What is the name of the nonprofit partner founded in 2019 to support the Semiquincentennial Commission?

The America250 Foundation is the nonprofit partner founded in 2019 to support the Semiquincentennial Commission.

The foundation was created by the commission and its administrative secretariat, the American Battlefield Trust. It serves as the commission’s private, nonprofit partner and became a major vehicle for supporting the public-facing America250 effort.

The foundation and commission share the America250 identity and website, which can make them appear to be the same organization. Legally and organizationally, however, the commission is the congressionally established body, while the foundation is a separate nonprofit supporting partner.

America250 programs rely on cooperation among government agencies, nonprofit organizations, sponsors, and communities. The foundation’s creation in 2019 helped provide an organizational structure for fundraising, partnerships, and national engagement leading into the 2026 anniversary.
