The map that features the large stadium called the Thunderdome is Kings Canyon.
Kings Canyon was one of Apex Legends’ two original battle-royale maps when the game launched in February 2019. It is a rugged Outlands landscape containing settlements, military installations, canyons, and distinctive named points of interest. The Thunderdome was a prominent arena-like location near Skull Town and featured multiple elevated platforms and open combat areas.
The location disappeared from the map after the Season 5 update, when Skull Town and Thunderdome were destroyed during the events surrounding Loba’s quest. That history can cause confusion because later Kings Canyon versions replaced or reshaped several familiar areas. The Thunderdome was not a feature of Storm Point, Olympus, or World’s Edge; those are separate Apex maps with their own landmarks.
Kings Canyon has also received major redesigns, including the Season 8 “Mayhem” update and the Season 14 “Hunted” reforged version. Even after those changes, the map’s original identity remains closely associated with Skull Town and Thunderdome.
