What is the name of the lost prince in The Silver Chair?
Answer
Prince Rilian
Answer
Prince Rilian
The lost prince in The Silver Chair is Prince Rilian. He is the only son of King Caspian X and disappears after his mother is killed by a mysterious green serpent.
Rilian spends ten years trapped underground by the Lady of the Green Kirtle. She enchants him during the day and binds him to a silver chair during his nightly periods of clarity. Eustace Scrubb, Jill Pole, and Puddleglum eventually discover the imprisoned knight and realize that he is the missing prince.
The travelers free Rilian after he invokes Aslan’s name, and he destroys the silver chair. When the Green Lady reveals herself as the serpent responsible for his mother’s death, Rilian helps defeat her and returns to Narnia. He is reunited with his dying father and succeeds him as king. Prince Tirian is a different Narnian ruler from The Last Battle, making that name a common mix-up.
