What is the name of the living bride in 'Corpse Bride'?

The story behind the answer

The living bride in Corpse Bride is Victoria Everglot.

Victoria is the daughter of an impoverished aristocratic family and is arranged to marry Victor Van Dort, whose merchant parents have recently become wealthy. Their marriage is intended to benefit both families: the Everglots need money, while the Van Dorts want social status. Despite their nervous first meeting, Victor and Victoria quickly develop genuine affection for one another.

The story’s central confusion begins when Victor accidentally places his wedding ring on the skeletal finger of Emily, a deceased woman in a wedding dress. Emily rises from the ground and claims Victor as her husband, taking him to the colorful Land of the Dead. This makes Emily the corpse bride, but Victoria remains the living bride Victor originally intended to marry.

Victoria’s parents later attempt to marry her to Lord Barkis Bittern, who pretends to be wealthy. His selfish motives are exposed, and Emily ultimately releases Victor so that he and Victoria can be together. Helena Bonham Carter voices Emily, while Emily Watson voices Victoria.
