Miles Axlerod is the international spy car revealed as Cars 2’s main villain.

Axlerod is introduced as a former oil baron who organizes the World Grand Prix. His public campaign promotes Allinol, an alternative fuel that appears to support cleaner racing and international cooperation.

The plot later reveals that Axlerod uses electromagnetic technology to manipulate cars running on Allinol. He intends to discredit alternative fuel by causing spectacular crashes, thereby protecting the status of traditional petroleum-based fuel.
