What is the name of the highest rank in Apex Legends' ranked system?

The highest named rank in Apex Legends is Apex Predator.

Apex Predator sits above Master on the ranked ladder, although it is technically a title awarded to the top 750 Master-level players on each platform. Because the cutoff is competitive rather than a fixed RP division, players can move in and out of Predator as the leaderboard changes.

Apex’s ranked system has changed several times since Ranked Leagues launched in 2019. The familiar progression includes Rookie, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Master, and Apex Predator. Most tiers are divided into four divisions, while Master and Predator have traditionally operated differently from the lower ranks.

A common mix-up is treating Apex Predator as an ordinary tier like Diamond or Platinum. Respawn has described it as a title rather than a separate matchmaking tier, but it remains the accepted answer when a quiz asks for the highest rank players can achieve. Master is the highest regular tier below it.
