What is the name of the girl Holden calls from his hotel room at the Edmont?

Holden calls Faith Cavendish from his hotel room at the Edmont. He gets her telephone number from the elevator operator, Maurice, who describes her as an attractive former stripper living in Greenwich Village.

Holden is lonely and wants company, but he cannot clearly explain what he wants from the call. Faith agrees to meet him the following day rather than come over immediately. Their conversation shows Holden's awkward mixture of curiosity, bravado, insecurity, and desire for connection.

Faith is easy to confuse with Sunny, the prostitute Maurice later sends to Holden's room. Sunny does visit the Edmont, but she is not the woman Holden calls. Jane Gallagher is another important girl in Holden's memories, while Sally Hayes becomes his date later in New York.
