What is the name of the farthest human-made object from Earth?

The story behind the answer

Voyager 1 is the farthest human-made object from Earth.

NASA launched Voyager 1 on 5 September 1977 to study Jupiter and Saturn. A favorable planetary alignment allowed the spacecraft to use gravity-assist flybys, gaining speed as it passed the giant planets. Voyager 1 visited Jupiter in 1979 and Saturn in 1980, then continued on a trajectory out of the solar system.

In 2012, Voyager 1 entered interstellar space after crossing the heliopause, the boundary where the Sun’s solar wind is overtaken by the surrounding interstellar medium. It remains in contact with Earth through NASA’s Deep Space Network, although its power and instruments have gradually declined.

Voyager 2 launched earlier, on 20 August 1977, and traveled a different route that enabled encounters with Uranus and Neptune. It is also in interstellar space, but Voyager 1 is farther from Earth because of its trajectory and launch timing.
