What is the name of the bass player for the band Tool?

The story behind the answer

Justin Chancellor is the bass player for the band Tool.

The English musician joined Tool in 1995 after the departure of founding bassist Paul D’Amour. Before moving to the United States, Chancellor played in the British band Peach, which supported Tool during a 1994 European tour.

He became a full member during the era of Ænima, released in 1996, and his intricate bass lines became central to Tool’s progressive, rhythmically complex sound. He continued playing with the band on Lateralus, 10,000 Days, and Fear Inoculum.

The wrong options are other Tool members or former members: Danny Carey is the drummer, Adam Jones is the guitarist, and Paul D’Amour was the original bassist. Chancellor has also contributed bass to projects involving Isis, Death Grips, and Night Verses.
