What is the name of the Apex Legends training mode?

The story behind the answer

The name of the Apex Legends training mode is The Firing Range.

The Firing Range is a noncompetitive practice area where players can test weapons, attachments, items, movement, and Legend abilities without joining a normal match. It is designed for learning recoil patterns, comparing loadouts, warming up before a match, and experimenting with unfamiliar characters.

The mode has changed substantially since Apex Legends launched. Respawn Entertainment has expanded it with more targets, weapon-testing areas, dummies, movement challenges, and options for practicing alongside friends. Players can also use it to learn how abilities interact with the environment and with opponents.

A common mix-up is calling it simply “Training.” Training is a broader category in the game’s menus, while Firing Range is the recognizable name of the dedicated practice mode. “Boot Camp,” “Training Grounds,” and “Practice Arena” are plausible-sounding distractors, but they are not the canonical Apex Legends mode name.
