What is the name of Scooby's nephew?

The story behind the answer

Scooby-Doo’s nephew is named Scrappy-Doo.

Scrappy is a Great Dane puppy introduced as a bold contrast to his timid uncle. While Scooby usually tries to flee from monsters, Scrappy is eager to confront them, often shouting that he wants to “Puppy Power!” His confidence and energetic personality changed the balance of the show by adding a younger, more aggressive comic character.

Scrappy was created during a period when Scooby-Doo’s ratings were declining and the franchise faced cancellation concerns. He first appeared in the 1979 series Scooby-Doo and Scrappy-Doo. His addition proved popular enough that later programs frequently placed him alongside Scooby and Shaggy, sometimes shifting the format toward shorter, more overtly cartoonish adventures.

Scrappy is easy to confuse with other canine relatives. Scooby-Dum is Scooby’s dim-witted cousin, while Yabba-Doo is described as Scooby’s brother and Scrappy’s uncle. Scrappy himself is the nephew, making “Scrappy-Doo” the canonical answer.
