What is the name of Pokémon’s electric mouse mascot?

Pikachu is Pokémon’s electric mouse mascot.

Pikachu is an Electric-type Pokémon first introduced in the 1996 Game Boy games. Its yellow body, pointed ears, red cheek patches, and lightning-bolt-shaped tail helped make it one of the most recognizable characters in the franchise.

The Pokémon anime made Pikachu even more prominent by pairing it with Ash Ketchum, the series' central trainer. Unlike most Pokémon companions, Pikachu usually travels outside its Poké Ball, which became an important visual feature of the show.

Pikachu evolves from Pichu when its friendship is high and can evolve into Raichu with a Thunder Stone. In Pokémon Yellow, the player receives Pikachu as a starter rather than choosing Bulbasaur, Charmander, or Squirtle.
