What is the name of Nero's Romulan mining ship in the 2009 Star Trek film?

The story behind the answer

Nero's Romulan mining ship in the 2009 Star Trek film is named the Narada. It is a massive, heavily armed vessel commanded by Nero, a Romulan from the 24th century who travels into the past after a failed attempt to save Romulus.

The Narada is not a conventional warship. Its mining origins help explain its unusual appearance, enormous size, drilling equipment, and destructive capabilities. In 2233, it emerges from a temporal anomaly near the USS Kelvin and attacks the Federation vessel. Nero's actions kill Captain Robau and ultimately lead to George Kirk sacrificing himself to save the Kelvin's crew, including his newborn son, James T. Kirk.

The ship later drills into Vulcan's core as part of Nero's plan to use red matter to create an artificial black hole. This destroys Vulcan and creates the alternate reality known as the Kelvin timeline. The Narada eventually attacks Earth, where Kirk and Spock board it during the final confrontation.

Fans sometimes confuse the Narada with other Romulan vessels. The Valdore is a ship from Star Trek: Nemesis, while the Scimitar is Shinzon's massive warship in that same film. Nistrim is not Nero's ship in the 2009 movie.
