What is the name of House’s fictional apartment address in House M.D.?

House’s fictional apartment address in House M.D. is 221B Baker Street.

The address is a deliberate reference to Sherlock Holmes, whose famous London home is 221B Baker Street. House is modeled partly on Holmes: both characters are highly observant, solve difficult puzzles through deduction, and maintain a close friendship with a doctor named Wilson or Watson.

In the series, House lives in an apartment identified as 221B Baker Street in Princeton, New Jersey. The address is therefore not meant to place him in London; it is an in-story homage to the literary detective who influenced the character.

This detail is easy to confuse with House’s workplace, Princeton-Plainsboro Teaching Hospital, or with the real Sherlock Holmes address associated with London fiction and tourism. The parallel is one of several clues linking the medical drama to detective fiction.
