What is the name of Honda's pickup truck model?
Answer
Ridgeline
Answer
Ridgeline
Honda’s pickup truck model is the Ridgeline.
The Honda Ridgeline is a mid-size, four-door pickup introduced for the 2006 model year. It was designed mainly for North America and represented Honda’s first serious move into the modern pickup-truck market. The first generation went on sale in March 2005, after Honda had shown related concept and development vehicles.
Unlike traditional body-on-frame pickups, the Ridgeline uses a unibody structure and a transverse-mounted engine. That layout gives it a car-like driving character while still providing a cargo bed, all-wheel drive, and useful towing and hauling capability. Distinctive features include a dual-action tailgate and a lockable in-bed trunk beneath the cargo floor.
The original generation ended production in early 2015. Honda paused the nameplate for roughly a year before launching the second generation as a 2017 model. The Ridgeline is sometimes mistaken for a conventional full-size truck, but it has consistently occupied the mid-size pickup class and emphasizes versatility over maximum heavy-duty towing.
