What is the name of Ford's all-electric pickup truck?

Ford’s all-electric pickup truck is the Ford F-150 Lightning. It is a battery-electric version of the F-150, Ford’s long-running full-size pickup line.

Ford unveiled the F-150 Lightning on May 19, 2021, and began production in 2022. Unlike conventional F-150 models, the Lightning uses two electric motors and standard four-wheel drive. Its battery can also provide power through onboard outlets, and Ford promoted its ability to serve as backup power for a properly equipped home.

The name can cause confusion because Ford previously used “Lightning” for high-performance gasoline-powered F-150 models, including the SVT Lightning. The electric Lightning is a different vehicle, built around battery power and dual motors. It also differs from the GMC Hummer EV, Tesla Cybertruck, and Rivian R1T, which are competing electric pickups from other manufacturers.
