What is the name of Flynn Rider's horse in Tangled?

The story behind the answer

Flynn Rider's horse in Tangled is named Maximus.

Maximus is the determined horse of Corona's palace guard and initially pursues Flynn after the thief steals the kingdom's lost princess's crown. Although he cannot speak, his expressive reactions and relentless sense of duty make him one of the film's most recognizable comic characters.

Unlike Flynn, whose real name is Eugene Fitzherbert, Maximus does not use an alternate personal name. He begins as an enemy of the outlaw but eventually forms an uneasy alliance with Rapunzel and Flynn. Rapunzel's influence helps turn that pursuit into cooperation as the story develops.

Maximus is often confused with Pascal because both are non-speaking animal companions. Pascal is Rapunzel's pet chameleon, while Maximus is a horse associated with the palace guard. The pair return together in the 2012 short Tangled Ever After, where they accidentally lose Rapunzel and Flynn's wedding rings.
