Fuxing is the name of China’s standard high-speed train family introduced in 2017.
The Chinese word Fuxing means “rejuvenation” or “renewal.” China Railway introduced the Fuxing family as a domestically developed successor to earlier Harmony, or Hexie, train families that incorporated licensed and adapted foreign technology.
Fuxing trains were designed for China’s high-speed network and entered scheduled service in 2017. Some versions support a maximum operating speed of 350 km/h on suitable routes, making them among the world’s fastest conventional-wheel trains in regular service.
Fuxing is a train family rather than one single model. Different formations and versions serve different routes and passenger capacities.
