America Gives is the name of America250’s national volunteering effort planned for the 2026 anniversary.
The program was presented as a nationwide opportunity for people to contribute through service and volunteering. It reflects the America250 commission’s broader goal of making the anniversary more participatory than a single ceremony or parade.
America Gives is distinct from Freedom 250, a separate White House-linked initiative that used different branding and proposed different events. Both names appeared in coverage of the 250th-anniversary planning, which makes them easy to confuse.
America250 also described America’s Field Trip as another major program, but that initiative focused on students and asked them to express what America means to them. America Gives instead refers specifically to the national volunteering effort.
