What is the name of America250’s national volunteer-service initiative for 2026?

America250’s national volunteer-service initiative for 2026 is called America Gives.

The program encourages people, schools, nonprofits, businesses, and civic groups to contribute through volunteering, charitable giving, and public service. Its central goal is to make 2026 a record-setting year of service while marking the United States’ 250th anniversary.

America Gives is one of America250’s signature programs, alongside America’s Field Trip and other nationwide projects. It is distinct from Freedom 250, a separate White House-linked initiative associated with the anniversary.

The campaign also aims to leave a lasting legacy beyond the anniversary year. Participants can log volunteer hours, find service opportunities, and support community organizations. A related America250 giveaway provides $1 million in donations, with 250 winners choosing where funds will go. The National Park Service has separately promoted a 250-hours-of-service challenge connected with the commemoration.
